Youngest of five, frail and sickly, Archie vividly recalls his mum telling him “You must study hard and have your own business because with your physique, you can’t endure working as a construction worker or any blue-collar jobs”.
Archie grew up in Whiteroad Dumping Site Inayawan Cebu City as a scavenger. His parents were likewise scavengers. Due to abject poverty, his parents decided to leave him under the care of the Missionaries of Charity in Alaska Mambaling Cebu City while they remained in the dumping site scavenging just to earn a decent living and survive.
In college, he studied for free as a university working scholar at the University of San Jose-Recoletos and finished a degree in Broadcast Communications. Two years from college graduation, he was offered a teaching job in Japan. His stay in Japan was short-lived as he was determined to put up his own business before he turned 30. After 5 years working in a BPO, he risked his career to open a business very strange to him as he had no idea what the business is all about, with no mentor to coach him in the business and not enough capitalization to finance the business. Nevertheless, at age 28 and in 2010, he ventured into private employment agency business together with his wife and founded Arizo Manpower Services. He rebranded it to become Quality Care Employment Services when he expanded in Manila in 2012. Now, as the business continuously grows, and with several branches across the Philippines, it was prudently decided to upgrade the business to a full-fledged corporation and change its name to LifemaideasyPH Corporation.
